Tourism Surge in Greece: Over 4 Million Visitors in the First Four Months

More than 4.1 million tourists visited Greece in the first four months of the year, marking a 5.8% increase compared to 2024, according to data from the Bank of Greece.
The increase in tourist traffic resulted in a 10.6% rise in tourism revenue, reaching €2.1 billion.
A significant increase of 27% was recorded in tourist traffic from the USA. Air travel increased by 10.8%, while travel through road border stations decreased by 3.9%.
Travel from EU-27 countries decreased by 5.4%, while travel from other countries increased by 19.7%. Specifically, traffic from Germany increased by 3.6%, while traffic from France decreased by 22.6% and from Italy by 11%.
Regarding non-EU countries, travel from the United Kingdom increased by 41.5% and from the USA by 26.9%. Travel from Russia also increased.
Revenue from residents of other countries increased by 26%, while revenue from EU-27 countries decreased by 1.8%. Revenue from Germany increased by 0.8%, while revenue from France decreased by 25% and from Italy by 6.6%. Revenue from the United Kingdom increased by 23.4% and from the USA by 36.8%.
