PCT Celebrates 15 Years in Piraeus with Investments and Social Contribution

Piraeus Container Terminal (PCT), a subsidiary of COSCO SHIPPING Ports Limited, celebrates 15 years of presence in Piraeus, during which it has made investments exceeding €600 million.

These investments include strategic infrastructure projects, such as the construction and operation of Pier III and the connection of the station to the national and Balkan railway network. They also include the installation of state-of-the-art cranes.

From 2009 to 2024, the fiscal benefit from PCT's activity amounts to €1.03 billion. For the two-year period 2024-2025, the company has signed contracts worth €275 million with more than 600 suppliers, mainly from the local community.

PCT has also implemented a program to support educational and charitable foundations, non-profit organizations and vulnerable social groups. It has offered food packages to more than 5,000 families and has invested more than €90,000 in equipment and renovations of school units.

As part of the 15th anniversary celebration, PCT held an anniversary event at its premises on June 20. Capt. Wang Jihang, Managing Director of PCT, stated that the company's vision is to establish Piraeus as one of the largest ports in Europe and the Mediterranean.

With this year's actions, the total amount of corporate social responsibility actions is expected to exceed €850,000.
