POS Extension Until 2025: Who Benefits

The Independent Authority for Public Revenue (AADE) has announced an extension for compliance with POS specifications for specific businesses. The decision (Α.1081/2025) provides a transitional adjustment period until 31.12.2025.

The extension concerns businesses that have already installed POS systems but are experiencing technical problems with the interconnection of their cash register systems, specifically the inability to freely type the charge amount.

The exemption applies to those who have implemented interconnections that do not allow the free typing of the amount in the Payment Method.

A prerequisite is that the manufacturers or suppliers of the devices have informed AADE accordingly.
