Ioannis Apergis: Revelations about his father's alcohol addiction

Actor Ioannis Apergis spoke about his experience growing up with a father suffering from alcohol addiction, in an interview on the show "Super Katerina."

Apergis described how the situation had spiraled out of control, mentioning an incident where he needed stitches on his head. Despite the difficulties, he emphasized that he and his brother chose to face the problem instead of distancing themselves from the family.

"I swore when I was little, of course my mother brainwashed me that something good must come out of these... I won't say the word. Don't become the same, my mother used to say," the actor stated.

Today, Ioannis Apergis stated that he has restored his relationship with his father and that they are now friends. "Now, I think we are friends with my father... My brother and I insisted on the problem, no matter how small and weak we were and even if we didn't have help, we were on top of it. We didn't give up. We didn't get tired," he said.

He also referred to an incident during his childhood when he called the police due to the situation, but there was no response.
