Petros Filippidis: Prosecutor Proposes Acquittal Due to Doubts in First Allegation

The prosecutor in the Petros Filippidis trial has proposed the acquittal of the defendant regarding the first allegation of attempted rape, which allegedly took place in 2010 at the Mousouri Theater. The proposal is based on doubts regarding the existence of intent.

At the beginning of his statement, the prosecutor referred to a "lengthy, luxurious, and turbulent trial," calling on the court to re-examine the facts with objectivity and logic, based on evidence and taking into account the personality and behavior of the victim.

Analyzing the events of 2010, the prosecutor referred to the accuser as a "young and up-and-coming actress" who came into contact with Filippidis through a lawyer. He examined the communications between them after the incident, noting contradictions and raising questions about the accuser's failure to immediately resort to justice.

The prosecutor also questioned the accuser's descriptions of what happened in the dressing room, arguing that some elements were "logically impossible." He also raised questions about the underwear the accuser was wearing and the lack of immediate reporting of the incident.

Furthermore, the prosecutor described as illegal evidence the testimonies of the accuser's friends regarding messages allegedly sent by Filippidis. The prosecutor's statement will continue on July 1st for the second allegation of attempted rape in 2014.
