Haliburton's Heartfelt Message After Achilles Surgery: 'I'd Do It Again'

Tyrese Haliburton suffered a ruptured Achilles tendon in Game 7 of the finals and underwent surgery. The player is expected to be out for approximately one year.
In a post on 'X', Haliburton stated that if he were in the same position again, he would risk his physical integrity for the chance to win a championship.
'Don't know how to explain it other than shock. Words cannot express the pain of this letdown. The frustration is unfathomable. I've worked my whole life to get to this moment and this is how it ends? Makes no sense,' he stated.
Haliburton added that he does not regret the effort and would do everything again for his team and the city. He also apologized to the Indiana fans and pledged to come back stronger.
'At 25, I already know God never gives you more than you can handle. I know I'll come out of this a better person and a better player. And honestly, now, with a ruptured Achilles and all, I don't regret it. I'd do it again and again, fighting for this city and my brothers. For the chance to achieve something special.'
Concluding his message, he quoted Kobe Bryant and emphasized that he will return.
