Asian Markets Fall After Reports of US Airstrikes in Iran

Asian markets declined following reports of U.S. airstrikes on nuclear facilities in Iran, raising concerns about escalating tensions in the Middle East.
Oil prices have surged in recent weeks due to increased instability in the region. Brent crude is trading at $78.42 a barrel, up 1.83%. Similarly, West Texas Intermediate crude is at $75.23 a barrel, up 1.88%, as of 9.43 a.m. Singapore time.
In Asian markets, Japan's Nikkei 225 index fell by 0.56%, while the broader Topix index recorded a decline of 0.49%.
