Trump Announces Ceasefire Between Israel and Iran

US President Donald Trump announced the basic provisions for achieving a ceasefire between Israel and Iran. The announcement followed the attack on Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar, the largest US military installation in the Middle East, and attacks on US infrastructure in the region.

According to Trump, the ceasefire was "fully agreed upon" and will be implemented immediately, ending the "12-day war." He stated that Israel and Iran approached the US for peace, emphasizing the benefits and losses that would result if they deviated from peace.

Trump congratulated the two countries for their resilience and intelligence in ending the "12-day war," without revealing details about the negotiations. Qatar reportedly contributed by mediating the talks, while Israel agreed on the condition that Iran stop the attacks.

An Iranian official told CNN that he had not received a ceasefire proposal, while Iranian media reported that a "ceasefire was imposed on the enemy" after responding to "American aggression." Reports from Israel indicate that Iranian attacks continued, with four deaths in Beersheba.

Iran's immediate response to the US attack on its nuclear facilities with the attack on the US base Al Udeid annoyed Washington. Trump warned of escalating the war and its impact on the Middle East, seeking to avoid a "frozen conflict."

The NATO summit in The Hague is expected to be overshadowed by the "12-day war." Trump will emphasize the US role in peace, the destruction of nuclear facilities in Iran, support for Israel and the need for regional security.
