UK Prepares for All Contingencies Following US Military Operations

Following the US military operations against Iran, the British government states it is preparing for all possible scenarios. British Minister for Business and Trade, Jonathan Reynolds, told Skynews that the United Kingdom had been informed in advance of the US operations.
Reynolds clarified that the US had not requested the use of the Diego Garcia base, nor any other base, including Akrotiri in Cyprus. He also emphasized that the United Kingdom was not involved in the attacks.
Analysts in London point out that granting such permission would create legal and diplomatic problems for the government of Kir Starmer. Legal circles have expressed doubts about the legality of British participation in attacks against Iran.
Reynolds stressed that the government is preparing for every contingency and that an immediate priority is the removal of British nationals from the region. He acknowledged that the airstrikes have increased the threat of terrorist attacks supported by Iran.
Both Prime Minister Kir Starmer and opposition leader Kemi Badenoch support the decision of US President Donald Trump. Starmer stated that Iran's nuclear program poses a serious threat, while Badenoch described Trump's decision as a "decisive action."
Badenoch urged the government to stand by the US and Israel, arguing that Iran fuels global terrorism and threatens the United Kingdom.
